COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, pixel tags, logs, and similar mechanisms (“Tracking Technologies”) to automatically collect information about your activities on our Site and across third-party websites or other online services.
Cookies are small data files that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one website to simplify subsequent interactions with that site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related websites. Many cookies we use last only for the duration of your web session and expire when you close your browser (i.e., session cookies). Other cookies last longer and are used to recognize your computer when you return to our website (i.e., persistent cookies). Cookies are designed to make your online experience easier and more personalized.
There are many types of cookies, and they can be distinguished based on their function:
- Strictly Necessary cookies are necessary for websites to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions taken by you to request services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or completing forms. We use Strictly Necessary cookies to secure the Site and ensure its stability and performance. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some portions of the Site will not work. These cookies do not store any directly personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address, and do not collect your browsing history. You may not opt out of Strictly Necessary cookies because they are necessary for the Site’s operation.
- Performance cookies allow websites to count visits and traffic sources to we measure and improve website performance. They help us understand which pages are the most and least active and understand how visitors navigate the Site. The information these cookies collect is aggregated and, therefore, anonymous. We use analytics services to measure Site performance and share data collected by Performance Cookies with our analytics service providers.
- Functional cookies enable us to offer enhanced functionality and personalization in the Online Services. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our Site. If you block these cookies, some or all of these services may not function properly.
- Targeting cookies are set on our Site by our advertising partners and their networks as well as social media companies whose platforms we use. Targeting cookies may be used by those companies, and members of their advertising networks, to build profiles of your interests and show you relevant advertisements based on your browsing activity across different websites over time. They do not store personal information such as your name and address but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and Internet device. If you block these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
Cookies can also be categorized by who places them and how long they remain on your computer or device. First party cookies are cookies that are placed by the website you visit. Third-party cookies are placed by a website other than the one you visit. Some third-party cookies may be placed by our service providers, who use them to assist us with Site security or usage and performance analytics, and advertising networks that we participate in, to serve you relevant advertisements based on your interests.
Session cookies are temporary cookies that are erased when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your computer or device until you manually delete them or until your browser deletes them based upon an expiration date specified in the cookie file.
Most web browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, enable specific cookies, and erase cookies on your device when you close your browser. Your browser may also allow you to block or restrict other Tracking Technologies. If you choose to disable or otherwise block certain cookies and/or other Tracking Technologies, you may experience decreased functionality with or the inability to use our Site.

CHOICES REGARDING USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have choices regarding your Personal Information. You may exercise your choices regarding the use of your Personal Information as described below:
- Analytics Services. We use Google Analytics to help us better understand how you use our Site and other Online Services. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often you visit the Online Services, what pages you visit, and what other websites you visited prior to visiting the Online Services. Google, acting on our behalf, uses this information to evaluate your use of our Online Services and compiles reports on user activity. Google Analytics collects your IP address, mobile device identifier, or similar information assigned on the date you visit the Online Services but does not collect your name. Information collected by Google Analytics is not combined with other Personal Information that we have. To learn more about how Google Analytics collects and processes data and your right to opt out of the collection and use of your data, visit http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can opt out of Tracking Technologies by enabling the Global Privacy Control on your browser. Please note you must manage your cookie settings on each device and browser you use to access the Online Services. You may also set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, to alert you when cookies are set, or you can use your browser’s privacy settings to place an ad blocker on your device. You can also opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website.
- Social Media Sites. You can manage Facebook data through the Ad Preferences setting in the Accounts Center in Meta. You can manage LinkedIn data through the Advertising Data settings in the Settings menu.
- Do Not Track and Other Opt-Out Signals. Some browsers contain a “Do Not Track” feature that, when enabled, informs websites you that you do not want your online activities to be tracked. Because there is not a uniform standard for “Do Not Track” signals, we do not recognize them. We recognize the Global Privacy Control and other universal opt-out mechanisms meeting California requirements.
- Promotional Email Messages. If you do not wish for us to contact you by email about promotional offers for our products and services or jointly marketed products and services, you can opt out by clicking the opt-out link in the email’s footer. This opt out will not apply to information we send you by email relating to your existing relationship with us.
Please note that, if you opt out of Targeted Interest-Based Advertising, you may still see St. Johns Bank online ads that are not based on your browsing activity across different websites and online channels. For example, we may place an ad for our mortgage products on a website that displays mortgage rates for local banks. This ad placement is determined solely by the content on the website, not by any user’s browsing activity. Likewise, we might also place an ad for savings accounts on our Site that appears after a user has browsed our savings products and transitioned to a different part of the Site. This ad placement is based solely on a user’s activity within our Site and does not consider other website browsing history.
If you disable certain cookies relating to the Site’s functionality, some parts of the Site may be inaccessible or function improperly. Your browser must be set to accept cookies for Targeted Interest-Based Advertising opt outs to work on your device. If you delete cookies, buy a new device, access the Site from a different device, or change web browsers, you must opt out again.
